regular wt with a little extra plastic i've had three pairs of these: 2 x the reg wt and 1 x the hvy wt. the powerstretch is the same thickness for both versions. the only thing about these that is hvy wt is the extra plastic coating on the finger tips and palm. i've had 2 pairs of the regular wt gloves wear out around my nails but those areas aren't coated with the plastic so the point of the extra plastic coating probably isn't to protect against wear. i think the coating is supposed to provide extra grip but the plastic coating is not very sticky so i don't see the point of these gloves at all. in my experience, you're better off with a pair of black diamond's powerstretch gloves with leather palms. those will give you better grip on your poles or ice axe.
