Replace the battery at least every two years. Dead or low batteries left in a watch may leak and destroy the movement of the watch. If you have a water resistant watch, know that the water resistance is attained using rubber or plastic seals which will deteriorate under normal conditions and reduce the water resistance of the watch. These seals should be checked by an authorized jeweler at the least every two years to ensure the rated water resistance. Do not expose your watch to extreme temperatures (over 60 degrees Celsius or 140 degrees Fahrenheight; under negative 10 degrees Celsius or 14 degrees Fahrenheight) No hot tubs or saunas. Time should stop in the hot tub or sauna regardless.
