Fantastic Shoe I own the moab ventilator low hiking show but at times my ankles ache so I thought I would try this. I have had now for about two weeks and they are just as comfortable as the low show but lots of extra support at the ankle. Adjusting to the new show has been no problem - no blisters, sore spots, etc. I'm preparing for my hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and I know I have found the shoe!

Merrell Hiking Shoes Experience Very comfortable with no problems the very first time I wore them hiking. Had some rugged terrain with lots of rocks and dry stream beds. Cactus and thorn-infested flora so no problems there either. Good support

Worth every Penny Used new out of box to cover river rock trails for a week, water crossings, and walking in knee deep water for hours at a a time, while prospecting for gold on the Mockelume river in California. Water drained out quickly, mud fell away, didn't built up in boot. In a warm, humid climate, they dried out after 8 hours max, to use next morning. I wore them with old-school heavy Norwegian ragg-wool socks. Ankle support was excellent, no problems at all, very comfortable, rugged, light weight,'ventilator' is 100% true. Since I was in and out of water, going over all of the round river rock and bolders, with no dirt trail, this was a better choice for stability, than the Waterpro Maipo, but that one is good for other situations.
