New for 2008 and a great entry-level value, LEKI Summit Antishock Trekking Poles provide rugged durability and consistent performance for all your adventures. With an integrated shock absorption system and textured cork grip this hiking sticks offers plenty of performance punch. The Triple Spring Antishock System (TSA) that reduces stress on the joints, muscles and ligaments, uses an internal spring to absorb the pole strike the impact. The spring can also be set at mid-range or turned off completely for more effective climbing. The COR-TEC grip that is made from 80% natural ground cork and 20% latex, is lightweight, strong and comfortable. An integrated strap further reduces stress on your wrists and provides additional security and comfort. A carbide flex tip that deflect up to 30 degrees without damaging the lower pole sections, reduces the risk of pole breakage if the pole should get caught between rocks and tree roots on the trail. Standard trekking baskets are included and are interchangeable with a simple screw on/off design that stays secure.
