Wonderful piece of technology The nanopore ceramic media inside this unit works amazingly well. The filter life is super-long, and the water tastes almost like Poland Springs! It takes about 60 seconds of pumping to fill up a Nalgene widemouth 1-liter bottle. This unit's best feature is its ability to screw onto a Nalgene widemouth, effectively keeping even one drop of the freshly filtered water you just worked so hard for, from spilling. :) My fiance was getting annoyed at me for verbally praising this item so much when on a 3-day trek. BUY ONE!!

great filter Used this MSR Mini Pump on my recent trip to East Africa. Worked great and never got sick from the water. Ended up getting food poisoning instead! This pump was amazing to travel with as it's light weight, compact and easy to use/clean.
