One can engage the waist gaiter if surfing fresh powder or tighten the hem cinch if a cold wind is swirling at their feet. Also, zippered neck and cuff expansion gussets allow for easy pull-on over long glove or mitt gauntlets and free up a little breathing room around the chin when sealing out a cold wind.
