It will stop the wind! Perfect for mild weather, but works great when zipped-in other North Face jackets. The WindStopper really works, and this coat is definately light weight. If you're going to mate it with another North Face parka, definately make sure the two are the same size, but if you plan on wearing this fleece by itself without too-many layers underneath, you may want to go a size smaller than normal. My only complaint is that it seems a little more 'roomy' than I'd expect for a large (although it zips fine into my large-sized Mountain Light GTX). (I'm 6'2" 190lbs.)

very nice I originally bought this jacket only for an inner layer to my TNF "Mountain Guide" jacket. I ended up wearing it quite often on its own once I realized how comfortable it was and how well it worked. Great for a mid layer when skiing in colder temperatures and a very good outer layer on a slightly warmer day at the slopes. However I would suggest getting one size smaller, it was a little loose for my taste. Enjoy

It is a solid black jacket. Very warm but still thin I bought this jacket for my son and he loves it. He says it is very warm but nice and thin. He likes it much better than his fleece North Face jacket.
