Plenty of seasoned skiers associate Spyder pants with high-end outerwear designed for destination resorts, but this distinct and highly weatherproof Deck Pant is part of their new Freeryde Venom collection, a series of rugged performance jackets and pants created specifically for the remote places seldom seen by weekend warriors and in-bounds skiers. Like the convertible Transfer Jacket, the Deck Pant features tough and waterproof nylon slub weave fabric for exceptional freeride durability. Behind this durable nylon exterior is a waterproof and breathable XT.L 10,000-mm. membrane for exceptional water protection even under pressure. Spyder reinforced the cuffs with durable plain weave nylon and treated everything with a special XT coating that penetrates the fabric and forms a honeycomb pore structure that lets vapor escape while keeping exterior water droplets outside the pant. A Spylon water repellent finish helps keep the droplets from consolidating and saturating the fabric pores. The Deck Pant features a distinct moto style fly with side thigh ventilation zippers. Velcro waist adjustment tabs help you find the fit, even when you add a layer of fleece beneath the already-toasty Thermosoft synthetic insulation.
