Spyder: Raider VIII Fleece Vest

A popular pick among skiers and fashion-savvy lowland adventurers, this year's Raider VIII Fleece Vest features a new Polartec Classic 200 fleece made with a double velour design. Spyder kept the durable nylon taslan mini box weave reinforcements along the shoulders and sides so you can still wear a backpack over the vest and not hassle with excess pilling after a trip or two (that's a common problem with the cheap fleece pieces, but if you're looking at Spyder, you probably already knew that). The Raider VIII features two zippered handwarmer pockets and a zippered chest pocket with reflective Spyder logo detailing. If you need wind protection, the Polartec Classic 200 fleece won't give you much on a gusty day (unless you layer it over a shell) but you might be better off with the similar features found on Spyder's windproof Windstop III Fleece Vest.
