Salomon: Women's Ivy Snowboard

Some women's snowboards get a bad rap because they're not as rigid or performance-oriented as the guy's stuff. The Ivy is one of the few Salomon boards to feature Thin Walls (T-ABS), a new ultra-precise design that transfers the smallest movements in foot pressure to the snowboard edges, giving you a new level of maneuverability at low speeds and an improved control at higher rates of speed. It also features a patented Integrated Torque Control (ITC) made from lightweight angular fibers woven around the core to maximize strength and response, creating a greater level of pop performance than ever attained on any previous Salomon design. Like Salomon's all-mountain snowboards, the Ivy has a quadratic sidecut made from elliptical curves in the design that adjust the radius to every running edge for optimal control--it's a better ride for women who don't want the radial cuts found on park-oriented freestyle boards. Beneath all this technical innovation is Salomon's P-Tex 4000 Electra gallium base, a sintered, highly impact-resistant base with Salomon's distinct base "structuration process" (that's their term) for the fastest glide without a lot of racer-level maintenance. The base has a medium stone finish that improves sintered base glide in all snow conditions.
