Description

Rossignol: Zenith Z11 Mutix Skis w/ Axial2 140 Ti Bindings - Altrec.com Product Description:

Some days you beat the powder-covered mountain. Other days you ski in the frozen shadows of an icy spire that could beat you. Whether it's your attitude or the snow conditions, Rossignol's Zenith Z11 Mutix Skis have customizable front and rear arms that can be adjusted or replaced to match changing terrain and snow conditions. A few purists might declare the Zenith Z11 Mutix to be the first true all-mountain ski because it can be adjusted to more surface conditions than conventional all-terrain designs, but no matter how you define the performance, this ski has the technology to adapt to a wide range of terrain. Attach the titanium Mutix arms for more power and aggressive skiing on hardpack and groomed runs. When you're ready to cruise or go deep in untracked terrain, switch over to the softer Visco Mutix arms. No matter how you choose to ski, these arms have a tool-free attachment system so you can make changes on the slopes--provided that you remembered to pack the spare set of arms in your backcountry ski backpack. This version of the Zenith Z11 Mutix comes with integrated Axial2 140 Ti-TPI2 bindings. The TPI2 stands for Twin Pulsion Integral, a tool-free binding interface that helps absorb unwanted vibrations while maintaining essential rebound for vaulting out of turns. These Axial2 140 Ti-TPI2 bindings are fully integrated with the Zenith Z11 Mutix skis for optimal performance.

Excellent ski I love these z 11 Mutix skis. I have been skiing as an adaptive ski instructor for 20 years and have owned and demoed more skis than I can count. These are by far the best skis I have ever owned. I normally do not get very excited about skiing early season conditions. Man made snow on intermediate runs has never been much fun for me but with the Z11s I have really enjoyed being able to carve trenches into snow that looks like Formica. The confidence they give that when you lay them over they will alway hold no matter what the conditions is amazing. They blast through the cut up powder, or bumps. One of my friends had read that these skis were not a good high speed ski while we were skiing together so I had him try to follow me doing large turns on a groomed slope. When I stopped he was 100 yds. behind me. He prides himself in enjoying skiing fast. I have not had them chatter on the hardest surfaces. Best money I have spent in a long time.

Real nice! These puppies seem to handle anything you throw at them, and the interchangeable arms give a nice variant. Perfect for an aggressive carver-lover who's out and about. Compared to the R11, I'd say these are overall better because the R11 only seem to work better in perfect conditions. The only problem with the Z11 was getting my hands on them! I had to order the 176's from Ontario, but WELL worth the effort.

I just love them! One good thing about living down-under is that we sometimes get access to the Northern-Hemisphere-up-coming-winter merchandise before you! I demo'd a pair of these Rossie Zenith Z11's in mid-July and almost didn't go back to collect my "Head 1400 XRC Liquidmetal Intelligence Chip's"!!! Needless to say, as soon a I got home, I had my almost new Head's on e-bay! I'm now the proud owner of a pair of these little beauties, and my last 5 days on the snow this southern-hemisphere season have been nothing short of an absolutely exciting, new and invigorating experience!!! They've brought an entirely new dimension to my skiing (heaps of fun and joy instead of hard work). I can't wait to put them through their paces at Aspen next February! If they perform half as well on powder as they did on the ice and crud, my ski holiday's going to be ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!
