Redesigned with a wider stance in larger sizes, the Lux is a directional twin tip with a forgiving design. A few gear gurus might compare Burton's women's Lux snowboard to the men's twin-tip Elite, but the Lux has a negative core profile that's ideal for new and experienced women riders who want a little more independent foot control on varied terrain. The Lux also has a forgiving two-layer Biax fiberglass construction designed to take you down the mountain with predictable perfection and uncompromising edge hold. On the inside you'll find Burton's proven Super Fly wood core, a vertical sandwich of mixed hard and soft woods for response and moderate pop without a lot of excess weight--a key factor for women riders. The Lux is an excellent snowboard for women who are fairly new to snowboarding and riders who mix their time between the park, pipe, rails and groomers; and with the wider stance in larger sizes, tall women can enjoy the same comfort and refinements this season.
