Description

Burton: Blunt Snowboard - Altrec.com Product Description:

It won't cure your munchies but Burton's Blunt will give you a skate-inspired ride without busting your budget. This season Burton widened the stance on the longest (158-cm.) Blunt model so big guys can ride without constraint. The Blunt snowboard works well for aggressive recreational snowboarders who go hard on the groomed and throughout the park. Like the value-minded Clash and Bullet, the Blunt Snowboard uses an affordable and proven Fly wood core, a strategic balance of lighter woods in specific areas for better response and denser woods where support is essential. If you had x-ray vision you could see that the wood grain along the toe and heel edges runs perpendicular to the rest of the wood core in a design called DualZone™ Edge Grain Direction, a process that enhances edging while adding durability. Bi-directional layers in the Biax React fiberglass give the board a little more flex than boards with Triax fiberglass, giving you a little more forgiveness when you need it. The Lightspeed Vision Base offers an incredibly smooth extruded base that can glide even without wax. The "Vision" in the name means that you'll never have to worry about others looking at dull graphics when you pop high off a berm. Unlike some entry-level snowboards, the Blunt has a negative core profile, not an even core profile that sometimes offers more stability to beginners. The negative core profile could lengthen the learning curve a tad for some riders, but the advantage is that new riders learn how to control the board through independent foot control sooner than riders who later transition (with added expense) to a negative core snowboard. Because most Burton boards feature a negative core profile, transitioning from the Blunt to a more advanced design doesn't require much adaptation.

Burton Blunt This board is amazing. Im very into park riding and it satisfies all my needs. The flex is perfect for some nice pop off a large booter or just a nice 270 on 270 kind of deal. Would recommend board for all levels. Great for carving and real forgiving on say "rough" landings.
