Burton: Supermodel Snowboard

What can you do with 30 years of snowboard design knowledge and some of the best athletic talent in the world? You apply the know-how and create an all-mountain design that's perfect for the rest of us. While Burton's Supermodel might not have the groundbreaking innovations found on the Supermodel X, it does offer the distinct combination of an agile carving shape and high-floatation Powder Fly II wood core. This season Burton also added 10:45 rounded sidewalls with two distinct angles to minimize abuse while jibbing or cutting it too close among the trees in gladed runs. While the Supermodel X might have a positive core profile, this Supermodel has negative core profile for more independent foot flex even with the set-back stance that promotes floatation in deep powder snow. Burton's Carbon I-Beam backbone gives the Supermodel additional pop and longitudinal snap without adding a bunch of unwanted ounces. If you're a big guy, you'll appreciate the extended size range. Unlike most snowboards out there, the Supermodel collection extends its sizing out to 172 centimeters, which should provide enough float to support loads up to 220 lbs. (no, that's WITH all your snowboarding clothes on).
