The Arc'teryx Blade 21 Backpack makes the rat race a bit more tolerable, however, offering an organized place to carry all your tools of the trade. A padded laptop compartment offers protection when negotiating a maze of humanity, while the thermoformed back panel and dual density shoulder straps team up for comfort even when the pack is fully loaded. Grab handles on the top and side make it easy to set Blade 21 in overhead cargo bins or to carry it briefcase style.

Deceptively large capacity and excellent load balance I was afraid the bag would be too small until I read Marlene's review above. It easily holds a purse, lunch and up to 3" of files. I would have switched to my wheeled computer bag with that volume in the past, but the weight is so evenly distibuted in this bag that I have no problem. It's more structured than it looks in the photo, but that explains the load balance and why it looks so symmetrical and professional when carried as a briefcase. Access is very convenient with the side entry. It's the first bag I've found that stays put over one shoulder while walking with a cane. I'll be making a trip to Goodwill with all the bags I have that I'll never use again!

Great backpack, with good load balance. Love my new Blade 21 Backpack. Perfect for carrying my computer on the Air lines, and fitting in my folders, as well as a hand bag. Easy access to the many pouches...and makes going through security with a lap top and also a roller piece of luggage, a snap and as a female, there is room to put my handbag into the backpadk. This is not an issue with a gentleman...but ladies do carry a purse.

Great biz/travel pack The Blade 21 is what you would expect from Arcteryx in quality--sturdy and durable. Great construction. This is definitely not a large travel bag, but is great for a 15 inch laptop (no larger), files, a book or two, and misc equipment. I ride a scooter and bike to work 2-3 days a week and this bag has proved ideal. Can transition into a client meeting seamlessly, with the side handle as a nice option. Great as a second bag for travel, fitting perfectly under an airplane seat. Bravo to Arcteryx for making a bag superior in design and construction to bags twice as expensive such as the Tumi models.
