For hiking and portaging, you'll appreciate the traction, protection, and support of lugged hiking boot soles. But you'll also like the simplicity and warmth of the zip-up 5mm neoprene upper and a wide, secure instep strap. 7mm insole cushions your foot for quick side hikes or a grueling portage. You won't find a better shoe for daily river running.

Great sole. Nice finish These wet shoes are headed for the BWCAW. I have a pair of NRS Attach shoes that fit great in a low volume sea kayak but I needed more of a stout sole for use on canoe portage trails in the BWCAW. The lug sole is perfect for canoeing and portaging. If you pair them with the NRS 2 mm wetsocks, order up one size to accomodate the sock. They would rate five stars except they are a tad heavy. Order them with confidence.
