We use the best down (800-fill-power) and a new polyester shell fabric: extremely tough and durable, but still lightweight, windproof and, like the lining, downproof and water-repellent. The drawcord hood's small draft tube cleanly encircles your face; internal mesh drop-in pockets stow water bottles or spare mitts. Other fine points include soft, light, perforated hook-and-loop elasticized wrist cuffs and new reinforcements on shoulders and cuffs for greater durability. Fit is relaxed for layering. Deluge® DWRPatagonia?s proprietary durable water repellent fabric finish, Deluge DWR, lasts substantially longer than standard DWRs. Garments with the Deluge DWR finish have like-new repellency after years of extensive use.
