Very Warm and comfortable I would give these a 5 star based on comfort and durability. My only complaint was the plastic squegee but that's not to say this isn't an awesome glove all around. For their warmth, they don't consume too much space in the pack when the temps warm up. -r

Design flaws overpower gloves warmth. These gloves will keep you warm. I'm just wondering if they will make it through one ski season. I would preferred to have had a removable liner, but decided to give these a try as I did not want pay $170.00 for the super couloir, and wanted to try something different than the Dakine gloves that I have been using for years, and I had heard great things about OR. But I got to say that the powder cords on these gloves are very, very, poorly designed. they have two catches, both of them hidden on the inside of the glove. One doesn't work at all and the other loosens with movement. I contacted OR to see if the gloves were defective or something via email, and they responded that one was for tightening and the other was for loosening, but addressed nothing else, especially my complaints. So after much effort, I have replaced the cords with ones off an old pair of Dakine gloves. I had no choice. It was either that, or have powder intrusion issues all day long. And I am still trying to figure out the reasoning behind the "bungee cinches", which I just removed. My final complaint which I shared with OR is the cheap elastic accross the wrist. This is just something that will soon FAIL as all elastic does and then the glove will simply not stay on the hand. No response from OR. Again, I think OR could look at the Dakine glove and learn some lessons as these have adjustable straps as do most gloves on the market. I hope OR reads this and does something different in the future.
Altrec/Vendor Response: Please note, This is the opinion of a user, and is only one person's experience. If you have any technical questions about the OR DuoCinch gauntlet closure system, we will be happy to explain in detail how the system works. JSHC has been contacted.
