While The North Face Modem Daypack is an inch shorter than the utilitarian Vault Daypack, it offers the same carrying capacity (1,850 cubic inches) along with a few features specifically oriented toward urban commuters and students who use portable electronics. Inside you'll find a universal sleeve that fits most small laptops and even accommodates a mid-size hydration bladder for hot hikes. Along the front you'll find a front stash pocket with a headphone wire for listening to tunes on your MP3 or CD player.
