The Stronghold is our most impervious, double-walled, expedition base camp shelter for day-to-day use in the Antarctic or Himalayas. Strongholds dome shape minimizes wind load over its surface area and three zippered doors, large roof vent and five perimeter vents help circulate air. Perimeter floor-band creates waterproof seats when snow benches are carved. Bar-tacked stress points and nylon pack cloth reinforcements add durability to the structure supported by super strong Yunan Scandium Expedition PF poles. No floor super tent Disappointed that the tent has no floor, with it's outstanding protection, a water proof floor would of added that extra nice touch

From Everest to Alaska.... As an expedition doctor, I have found this tent to be exceptional as my home in the most hospitable environments. It is large, roomy and comfortable for the hustle/bustle around basecamp. It takes a little time to set up at first, but once you've got the system down you're set for good. It doesn't have a floor, which is a nice weight saver, so if you needed a little more protection you can buy a regular piece of nylon or tarp, which works just fine. Unbeatable.
