The one pole design means that the Meridian 2 sets-up in a flash, even in the dark with the wind howling, as reflective markings make it easy to find the designated starting point and guy-out loops. Large vestibule protected doors on either side of the tent provide a place for each occupant to transition from inside the tent to outside, or vice versa, without getting in the way of one another. At just over 4 lbs. it rivals plenty of ultralight designs for dependable weather protection at a surprisingly light weight. Whether the stars are out or the rain is coming down in sheets, the Meridian 2 is a refuge of comfort in wide ranging conditions.
