Not too impressed I have used Nikwax boot supplies in the past and really liked the results, as with this, well, I'm not that impressed. First off, the instructions on the bottle say lay your clean, wet item out flat. OK, first off, do they mean soaking wet, or lightly misted wet? I was proofing a rainfly! Do you see the problem here? Anyhow, it made a huge mess, I had no idea if the solution was the correct mixture or not, and it was difficult to tell what was treated vrs. what was just wet. Having a fly that wasn't that bad off to begin with, (just trying to improve it before winter camping) it didn't seem to want to soak into the fabric that well, I believe most of the product evaporated. Also, I was hoping to do my groundcloth also, but the 10oz was barely enough to do the rainfly. If I wanted to do the entire tent/fly and groundcloth, I would need at least 40oz. Perhaps this product works better on REALLY old products, but as for my tent, no way. It has helped a bit, but not to Nikwax (or my) standards.

OK performance - but not up to Nikwax standards This worked ok on my North Face tent - but not nearly as good as I expected. Maybe I applied it incorrectly, but application was messy and time consuming and resulted in only moderate improvement in water repellency. I have had great success with other NIKWAX products and so expected the same here.

Great stuff for twinskin kites - chikara ripstop nylon Works great, but ignore what they say on the package: 10oz is enough for 25 sqm (13m twinskin kite); apply, roll up like a carpet & let product soak in for up to 1 hour, then hang out to drip off & dry.
