Patagonia: Catalyst Pack (Large)

Use the Catalyst for accelerated trips to the backcountry, day-tripping on the trail or as a minimalist overnighter. It's made from differential-cut ShiftLayer nylon fabric, and features front-panel loading for fast access to gear. An outside, center-zip vertical storage pocket holds gloves and lunch. An Autofit harness allows quick adjustments to the 3D spacer-mesh shoulder straps and split waistbelt (which stabilizes the load over the lower back and hips). Other details: a slider-adjusting sternum strap with a built-in safety whistle; a hydration pocket with hidden tunnels to keep tubes out of the way; compression straps to stabilize the bladder whatever its volume; and side-mounted stretch-mesh pockets for water bottles.
