Excellent This is a perfect hat for activities in the cold like running and XC skiing. Keeps your head warm without overheating, plus its extremely lightweight and comfortable. Though, the "Dark Adobe" is more brownish than it looks in the picture.

not what I expected This hat is more like a du rag. If you don't mind the look of it, it is good for the fact that it can fit in even the smallest of pockets.

Excellent Wicking I sweat. I sweat a lot. When it's 25 degrees out, I still sweat. The Mtn. Hardware Butter Beanie pulls the moisture away from my head and lets it evaporate quickly. I've worn other hats and beanies and after 30 minutes I'm freezing b/c my headcover/protection is soaked and frozen. I'm not sure what kind of technology goes into these kinds of fabrics, but this is the best thing I've put on my head in a long time. While it's not a thermal beanie, which means you've got to stay moving to keep warm, your noggin' will stay dry: and that goes a long way in keeping you from catching a chill! R.R. PS The Butter Beanie works under helmets fine as well.
