This lightweight, stretch fleece top is ideal for a wide range of high-impact outdoor activities. The warm layer of Polartec® stretch micro fiber velour fleece along the front and back panels provide excellent thermal performance while the Polartec® Power Stretch® side panels enhance your freedom of movement. The entire garment is welded together with durable flat locked seams that eliminate bulk while preventing chafing. Wear it alone or as a layer under a breathable, waterproof shell.

The Aurora has been my favorite fleece of 3 yrs I received the Aurora as a gift. After a year of wearing this fleece I decided I purchase another. I never saw it in the stores again. I did not know to ask for the "Aurora." My luck changed November 2002. I was vacationing on Pikes Peak for a couple of days and stopped at the REI of Denver on my way back to Arkansas. I was wearing my favorite fleece and the saleslady knew the garment and the name and referred me to the North Face store. Thank you. The "Aurora" has been my favorite fleece for over 3 years. All of my outdoor synthetic clothing receives a little extra attention when it comes time to launder them. I will be buying a couple more before the end of 2002. I recommend the Aurora as an all-purpose fleece. Light, compact, fashionable.

Everyone should own this shirt! I love this fleece shirt! Not only does it fit like a glove, it's stylish and it will keep you warm on any chilly day or night.

Fantastic Purchase I love this garment! Although I purchased it primarily for bicycle touring, I am already considering purchasing another . The cut is comfortable and the feel of the fleece is soft and luxurious. It has impressive insulating qualities as a midlayer, superior wicking as a first layer. On several chilly morning rides, I have used it comfortably with only an outer-shell and while riding home on a warm afternoon, have had no inclination to remove it. As I am concerned with weight while I tour, I am convinced that this garment will offer me comfort in a wide range of temperatures while being incredibly light. The only downside is the sleeves are several inches too long and the cuffs are not 'elastic' enough to keep the sleeves from crawling.
