Created for warm weather coverage while hiking, climbing, backpacking and camping, this lightweight and highly breathable 70-denier shirt features a 35 UPF finish that minimizes harmful UV penetration. There are heavier shirts that offer similar protection, but you'll probably suffer under the stifling heat of the thicker pile. The 3.47-oz. Koolnit material features a wicking polyester fiber design that pulls moisture away from your skin to help you stay dry. A flatlock seam construction enhances durability while minimizing the discomfort of layering under cumbersome packloads.

great shirt We have been spending our winters in AZ and love to hike and run in the mountains. We love that these shirts not only wick the moisture, but also provide the needed sunblock so that we can continue our activities. We have a number of these shirts and just alternate colors. My 2 concerns with the shirts is that they do snag on the desert brush and my husbands', over many repeated washes, has grown loose in the wrist area. I would not hesitate to get these shirts again because so far they are the best of the shirts we have seen with the dual properties.
