Speed up your ski and snowboard tuning with this easy-to-use, three-in-one file design that streamlines the process for creating accurate base edge bevels, side edge bevels and sidewall removal. Swix improved the design and accuracy with a new patented adjustment knob that gives you an infinite amount of settings between 0 to 6 degrees on the side edge and sidewall, and anywhere between 0 to 4 degrees on the base edge. The previous Xactor incarnation made you choose whole degree increments for filing. This new version also features ceramic rollers that minimize friction and keep filings from being impregnated in the base. This is an amazingly convenient tool for both beginning tuners and experienced pros.

crap I have the model pictured on the swix web site so I don't know if this one is different. In mine their is a single screw which holds the file. In order to switch from base edge to side edge it requires you to remove the screw and place the screw in a different hole so the device can hold the file in a different position. This works find for about 1 season of use untill you strip the hole where the screw goes, rendering the device useless. The metal inside this thing which holds the screw is super soft which makes stripping verry easy. It worked well while it worked, but now I can't believe this product was designed this way. A piece of junk.
