Need more sole? NRS took all the features that make the Desperado Sock the most comfortable sock available and added a 3mm rubber sole for improved traction. The Desparado Shoe is still ultra-low-profile, and ultra-comfortable, but offers even better support and protection for extended portages and sidehikes.

Whole sizes only.
Women order one size smaller.
1/2 sizes order one size larger.
These shoes are running snug - If you are in between sizes or have wide feet you may want to consider the next size larger.

Great Shoes! I wear these when I kayak and my feet love them. Extremely comfy in the boat and great for walking on rocks.

Good all purpose river shoe I work as a rafting guide on weekends and these shoes stand up to most of the challenges I throw at them. The soles are thick enough to protect my feet from the rocks on the river bottom and they provide excellent traction in slippery areas. They also stand up to the task out of the water and I have used them hiking on river banks and carrying whitewater rafts. So far they are doing the job.

fit and comfort This was my first experience buying water shoes and also buying from altrec.com. The sizing was right on, the fit is great. the shoes are comfortable and the service was everything I expected.
