Essentially Bayer rearranged the molecules of the polarizing filter in the glasses in a precise format that diminishes glare far beyond anything seen through traditional polarized lenses. These high-impact, scratch resistant polycarbonate lenses are over two millimeters thick--most polarized lenses average 0.3 mm. in thickness--so the Aquila lasts longer and takes more abuse on the boat, beach or in your backpack.
